The better starting point.
Choose a source that shows what is actually sold. Keep labels readable and distinguish the packaged product from any serving suggestion.

Preserve its source shape, packaging and contents. Do not add ingredients, garnishes, health claims or additional servings. A food image can show a package, the contents or a serving suggestion. Those are different jobs. Decide which one the next asset should perform, and choose a source that establishes the actual product. A generated composition should not quietly turn a packaged item into a different portion or add contents the original does not show.
For a range of products, test a representative package and keep a separate review for every variant. Similar labels are easy to confuse when the scene is consistent. Retain approved outputs, correct specific failures and keep original imagery available for the product details the generated campaign cannot reliably establish.
